Kile did a tremendous job for us by installing over 20,000 sq feet of turf for our baseball/softball infield. He was courteous, professional, on time, and available to help us with any questions we had. Apex Turf just installed turf in my Chandler home and it looks fabulous. Kile was so great to work with, he was always available to answer questions, very professional and friendly and very knowledgeable about the products he was installing.  As for his team, Wes and the crew were great, they were here on time, professional and did a fantastic job.  My yard was a mess, I didn't think they could do what they did in the time they said they would do it, but they DID and it looks great. They were by far the best price and I cant imagine anyone else turning my yard into the beautiful space that I now have. I would highly recommend Kile and his team. How much does artificial grass cost in Arizona ?

Whether you pick a cheap product or a very expensive product, the labor is still the same to install the artificial grass. The cheapest artificial grass material is around $1 per square foot while the most expensive grasses can be $5 per square foot, that's a huge range! Typically we recommend grass products that cost around $2-3 per square foot. Now that is only for the grass, that does no include demolition, prep work, base, infill and labor. In Arizona, we are seeing homeowners pay between $5 and $15 per square foot for the entire process. This is a huge range but very dependent on the size of the project and materials used. Does your artificial grass smell plastic-y?

No, our artificial grass does not smell like hot plastic. Turf that smells like hot plastic could be sign of cheaper resins used to create the polyethylene turf blades.

Does your artificial grass look shiny?

Artificial grass has a natural grain to it. This means you will want to consider the direction turf is laid relative to the point of view. The backside of turf may look a little shiny during certain times of day. Our artificial grass is made with S and W shape blades. The shape of the blades allow for tiny shadows to be cast on the artificial grass blades. The shape of our blades are less likely to be shiny. If you have seen a shiny artificial grass front yard it is most likely due to either cheap materials or poor workmanship.

How do you install artificial grass?

Artificial grass is a straightforward but a very labor intensive process. The main steps in most artificial grass installations is as follows:
treatment of grass
excavation of existing grass
installation and compaction of base material
seaming and securing the turf
infilling the turf
brushing and cleaning of the turf

What is artificial grass made of?

Typically artificial grass is made of polyethylene and polyurethane. Polyethylene is graded from C2 to C8. C8 being the most durable and longest lasting resin for your artificial grass.

Does artificial grass save money?

If you are strictly looking at your ROI, artificial turf may or may not be a wise financial investment. This depend son several factors. The City of Mesa did a study in 2018 looking at the ROI of artificial grass. If you pay for maintenance, water, winter over-seeding and occasional sprinkler repairs, your artificial grass will pay for itself in about 5 to 6 years. This break even point is assuming you pay $9 per square foot for your artificial grass installation.

How do I maintain my artificial grass?

The biggest thing you can do to maintain your artificial grass is by keeping it free of debris and weeds. We recommend using a rake or leaf blower to remove debris. If you have weeds in your artificial grass, spray them first. Once the weeds are dead then you should cut or pull them. If you pull the weeds without spraying then their is a very high chance they will come right back.
